KEISER STEP CERTIFICATION

In this course, you'll dive into key training principles and strategies designed to ensure confidence in implementing the STEP program. Remember, we are in this together – please feel free to use the Keiser Community, with a link at the end of this module, where you can reach out to Keiser educators and collaborate with other communities.  Here in the course, we will cover foundational concepts, from effective programming to the benefits of pneumatic resistance training. By the end, you’ll understand how to run customized training plans tailored to enhance the well-being and performance of your resident.

Course Objectives:

• Understand the Effects of Aging: Learn how aging impacts physical function and explore the benefits of training to reduce fall risks, manage chronic conditions, and increase functional independence for older adults.
• Familiarity with the STEP Program: Gain insight into the STEP Program's assessments and resources, enabling staff and residents to fully leverage its power for improved health outcomes.
• Gain Confidence in Coaching: Build your confidence in coaching methods and program implementation to ensure community-wide success, enhancing engagement and wellness for all participants.
